The Lecturer

MISS SHANAA FATIHAH MOHD ABU

I was really confused about the importance at first but I slowly realised that it's something that can help me become a better student both mentally and physically. Miss Shanaa is not only our lecturer but our mentor and I love her so much.

She's very supportive in our classes together and pushes my class to improve our skills a lot. She's an understanding mentor that really loves bantering with my classmates but still reminds us that respect goes a long way. I have so much respect for her and her work ethics.

The Class Sessions

This course prepares students with the skills needed for college life. It exposes the students with the concepts of academia e.g. effective time management, setting goals, learning styles, learning strategies, test-taking strategies and processing information from lectures and texts.

As we transition from secondary schools to being university students, it's important that students can adapt to new surroundings which can be different from their previous style.

(Event Management)

This is one of my Social Media Diary entires

Assignments for this course was a bit of a challenge for me but it was entertaining.

For our assignment called "Social Media Diary', it was weekly entries of us talking about topics that were already provided for us. It was a struggle at first since I'm not used to being in front of a camera but I think I slowly adapted well to the weekly entries. It gave a bit more realisation on how important this subject is for me, as a university student who still struggles with adapting to a new style of learning here.

'Event Management' was a bit difficult but I did enjoy working on it with my teammates, Ain and Alia. We couldn't actually make the event possible due to COVID-19 but the experience of planning an event was already a great first experience for me.
