My Personal Timeline
This is the planet where you're going to see me from childhood until now. Think of it as a story that's still ongoing. I hope it'll give you a bit more insight on who I am as a person.

Chapter 1 - THE calm child

Nice to meet you, I'm 'Adnin Hanan Binti Mohd Nasir. You guys can call whatever you want but I usually go by Hanan or Nan. I was born on the 21st of May 2002 in Kota Bharu, Kelantan as the second child out of three. This also makes me a Gemini, so greetings to all Geminis and other horoscopes out there. I'm taking my foundation studies in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) UiTM now and genuinely, I'm grateful that I'm slowly following my dreams!
One thing to know about me when I was a child was that I wasn't a fussy baby. According to my parents, I usually just sleep most of the time and that hasn't changed one bit about me. I have grown up to be an introvert so it's not surprising to see me being shy with new people and even some of my own relatives. It's a bit of pain when you have two extroverted sisters but I'm happy that they still include me when they hang out, even if they have to coerce me every time. Most times, I would be the one that my sisters like to annoy but it's hard to get a reaction out of me. Hence, the nickname my family calls me is 'The Calm One'.
Chapter 2 - The Family
My family is fairly small. I have two sisters, one older and one younger and two amazing parents. Each and every one of them holds an important place in my heart and that will probably never change. My father is self-employed now after quitting his job as an accountant and my mother is a primary school teacher that teaches Bahasa Melayu. I'm not a person that usually chooses one favourite parent but I can't deny that I'm really close to my mother as compared to my father. I think I started loving the idea of being an educator from her. I love helping people around with what I can, especially when it comes to helping my younger sister with her homework, but don't ask me to teach anyone Mathematics though, I'm bad at it. Like, really bad at Mathematics.

Don't worry, my sister is still alive, she's just not in the photo for this one.
This is when my mother finished her degree from Open University Malaysia (OUM)
Chapter 3 - Some Bad Memories

This happened during the last few months of 2014 and sometimes, I still get shaken up by it even though it's been 6 years now. No one predicted that the flood that year was going to be on a humongous scale. None of us was prepared.
My house is the yellowish one that's submerged in the water. The water levels rose up so quick, I really didn't know what to save. We barely even saved some of our important documents.

It took nearly a week for us to wait for the water to go down and calling the house a mess was an understatement. There was mud everywhere and dead animals like small snakes, rats and even squirrels were found in the wreckage. I'm very sorry that I put such a terrible image into your minds but it really was the reality my family had to face that year. I had to burn and throw out so many of my clothes and other things, I feel like crying by just thinking about it honestly. We're doing just fine now and moving on fine with our lives.
Chapter 4 Pt.1 - THE CHAPTER WHERE I STARTED SCHOOL.
Not much happened during primary school but it was fun for me. I think both my parents pushed me to join clubs and activities when I was young to make sure that I always had something beneficial of my time. I learned how to play the drums, the keyboard, the recorder from my music teacher and I loved every second of it! My parents actually bought me a keyboard and a small drum set but as you all know, the flood happened and now those two things are only a dream now. It was tiring but I can't deny how much fun every second was. I joined choirs and even my school's team even won some of the contests. I understand why they pushed me to go outside all the time when I was younger now.

I started secondary school a bit shaky but honestly, I think a lot of the students had a rough start since most of the students from my old school, SMK Sultan Yahya Petra 2 were victims of the huge flood just like I was. Form 1 until Form 3 was not as eventful as I thought it was going to be. I got to meet so many amazing people who I'm proud to say are my friends even now. Some of them are in Dengkil with me, and some of them are continuing their studies elsewhere. I still video call them all the time when we're free.
I took French as an added subject as well during Form 1 until Form 3! It was fun to learn and I loved every second of it with my friends. I took the DELF A1 exam during Form 2 and I'm confident that I still remember most of the things my teacher taught me all those years ago.

Chapter 3 Pt.2 - THE CHAPTER WHERE I GOT MYSELF INTO boarding school.

Fast forward to Form 4 and 5, I got into MRSM Pengkalan Chepa in Kota Bharu, Kelantan after getting straight A's in PT3. This was a whole roller coaster ride for me. I got homesick a lot during the first few weeks and I wasn't able to adapt like most of the other students there. I was also one of the only students from my old school who decided to go to boarding school. Most of the people who know me by now will understand that I'm bad at socializing, so I was alone to the point of feeling ostracized. It was a dark time for me but I kept my head high and just focused on my studying.
Don't worry, it got better as time passes, I got to befriend some of my classmates and they were kind to me. I learnt a lot about being independent and disciplined in MRSM and I'm happy that it gave me so much experience and lessons when it came time for me to be my own person.
I remember this picture the most, it was when we were having our annual party for the Form 5 students and we were all trying to squeeze into the frame. It was an amazing night for all of us and I wished I could experience it again with my old classmates from 5 AMMAR.

I forgot to mention, after 2 years of blood, sweat and tears of learning, I got 6A's and 3B's for my SPM and I couldn't be more thankful. Also, a big thank you to Anis (the person in this picture with me) for being my mentor and supporter!
CHAPTER 3 Pt.4 - The CHAPTER WHERE I GO TO UNIVERSITY (currently writing)

Now I'm taking on a new challenge which is continuing my foundation in TESL in UiTM Dengkil! Just like what the title of this chapter tells, I'm currently still writing this chapter of my life. There's still a lot I haven't experienced yet but I'm slowly realising how important it is to make memories while I'm still so young and inexperienced. I'm looking forward to the days ahead of me.
I'm slowly trying to understand myself and I want to be a person whom my classmates and friends can rely on. I already met my classmates and lecturers here, both virtually and physically and I love all of them. I'm happy to be surrounded by so many positive people. I think that if I were to describe each classmate of mine in detail, I would be making a whole novel about them. I'm forever grateful for getting the chance to pursue one of my biggest passions with people who support and make the experience so fun for me every step of the way.
LET'S HOPE FOR BETTER DAYS AHEAD TOGETHER!
