Miss Farah is someone who has taught me a lot. Not only does she teach the class the requirements, but she has touched so many hearts in the class, especially mine. She's really committed to her job and I'm forever grateful to have someone like her to teach and guide me through the learning process of writing. She doesn't just teach writing, it's on another level of critical thinking in which I feel like I still lack.

The Class Sessions
This course introduces students to college writing strategies. There are several writing techniques in which the students need to master for the semester and also for the next one as well. In this class, we learn how to construct thesis statements, concluding statements, topic sentences, supporting details and concluding sentences. There's also paraphrasing and citations which I, as a student, will be using a lot for most of my assignments.

Assessments and Assignments
Opinion Based Essay
My first assessment turned out surprisingly okay and my lecturer had pointed out the mistakes I made for it. It made me realise how careless I can be when the time feels limited. Hopefully, I won't be doing the same mistakes again for my final assessment.

For my assignments, the Outline Based Essay (OBE) made me able to think more critically on my main ideas and how I can elaborate on them without being too lengthy. It really challenges my level of knowledge and it's interesting to see perspectives of others while working on assignments.
